Jon Q. McClain is a Technology Manager, MBA candidate, and published author with more than fourteen years of experience spanning Audio Visual (AV), Information Technology (IT), enterprise operations, healthcare, hospitality, sports venues, and corporate environments.

Originally from the Bronx, New York, Jon built his career from the ground up, beginning as an AV technician and evolving into technology leadership roles responsible for supporting critical business operations, executive events, enterprise collaboration technologies, and high-performance workplace environments. Throughout his journey, he has worked across hospitals, hotels, conference centers, corporate headquarters, and professional sports facilities, developing a reputation for solving complex problems, leading teams, and navigating the intersection of technology and people.

Jon is currently pursuing his MBA with a focus on Data Analytics while continuing to lead technology initiatives and operations. His work focuses on improving the user experience, building stronger technology teams, and helping organizations bridge the gap between AV, IT, and business strategy.

As the author of *The AV Playbook: Volume I – Lessons I Learned the Hard Way*, Jon shares practical lessons learned throughout his career, covering troubleshooting, leadership, communication, documentation, client management, and professional growth. His writing reflects a simple philosophy: technology is rarely the hardest part of the job people, processes, and leadership are where the real lessons are learned.
